MISSION ENVIRONMENTAL TO LEAD PANEL DISCUSSION ON ENVIRONMENTAL FORENSICS AT AEHS CONFERENCE IN SAN DIEGO

Dr. Ioana Petrisor and Nick Buhbe will participate on a panel workshop discussing emerging challenges facing the environmental industry at AEHS’ spring meeting in San Diego, California. The March 16, 2020 workshop will present a series of challenging situations involving the emerging use of forensic techniques for routine site investigations, uncovering illegal contamination and remediation, as well as the use of appropriate fingerprinting methods to distinguish between sources of emerging contaminants such as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and 1,4-dioxane. The focus will be on how to develop appropriate strategies and provide defensible and cost-effective solutions from both scientific and legal perspectives.
